The BYD Tang L EV measures 5040/1996/1760mm in l/w/h, with a 2,950mm wheelbase, positioning it in the mid-to-large SUV segment with both six and seven-seat configurations available.
The interior adopts a wrap-around cockpit design with distinctive two-tone color schemes and matte gray metallic decorative panels. The dashboard features a fully digital instrument cluster and a large 15.6-inch central control screen, complemented by an optional AR-HUD (head-up display). Hidden air vents integrate seamlessly with the vehicle’s interior design, while an electronic shifter creates a more streamlined center console layout.
For driver assistance, the Tang L comes standard with BYD’s DiPilot 300 system (“God’s Eye” B), featuring roof-mounted LiDAR on higher trim levels. The vehicle also incorporates the DiLink 150 intelligent cockpit system.
The pure electric version offers both single and dual-motor configurations. The single-motor rear-wheel drive variant features what BYD claims is the world’s highest-power motor, capable of 30,511 rpm and delivering 580kW (788hp). The dual-motor all-wheel drive version adds a 230kW front motor, bringing the system’s maximum power to 810kW (1,100hp) and enabling 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.9 seconds.
